MILD HYPERBARIC OXYGEN THERAPY
Fuel the body with 96% pure oxygen under mild hyperbaric pressure at Ultimate Wellness.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is a well established, non-invasive therapy which involves breathing pure oxygen whilst in a pressurised environment. At higher pressures the body can absorb up to sixteen times more oxygen which benefits every one of the 15 trillion cells in the body. As such HBOT can provide a fantastic treatment for a huge range of ailments & issues from tissue recovery, stress relief, skin rejuvenation, chronic fatigue, sports recovery and so much more.

REJUVENATE THE SKIN & FUEL THE BODY
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is the best cosmetic treatment that doesn't involve any invasive surgery.
Oxyhealth improves blood flow, boosts cell metabolism, facilitates collagen production, contributes to microscopic blood vessel growth & on the surface level increases skin elasticity.

The supplemented oxygen under pressure during each session can reach deep to the cellular level to promote circulation, stem-cell growth, reduce inflammation & support the immune system. Each session has a powerful detoxification effect on the body. Skin is the largest organ and toxins in your body show up as blemishes and discolorations. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy removes these toxins from your system to help you look and feel rejuvenated & healthy.
IMPROVE SPORTS ENDURANCE & RECOVERY
Many professional athletes train at altitude to increase red blood cell production and the oxygen-carrying capabilities of their blood. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy achieves similar gains in performance by increasing circulation and the oxygenation in the blood which helps to increase energy levels and mental awareness.

During Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, the body can absorb up to 16 times more oxygen, which leads to a wide variety of benefits including:

-
Increased stem cell activation
-
Faster bone and cartilage regeneration
-
Reduced muscle fatigue and exhaustion
-
Decreased pain
-
Anti-inflammatory benefits
-
Increased blood flow, especially in poorly irrigated tissues
-
Alleviate pulled muscles, strains & sprains
-
Help torn muscles and tendons.
LOOK AFTER YOUR EMOTIONAL WELLBEING
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy increases levels of key antioxidant enzymes to decrease stress, making you feel more relaxed and less agitated. Detoxing helps to clear the mind and improve the bodies functionality.

It improves the metabolism of nerve cells and the supply of neurons carrying nutrients. Positivity in mood can often be noticed from the first session.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy can also help with insomnia, helping you feel refreshed and ultimately leading to your emotional wellbeing.

What is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy? The air that we breathe every day provides enough oxygen for both normal body metabolism and repair to tissue damage after injury or illness. However, increasing the pressure in a hyperbaric chamber and using 95% oxygen allows a significant increase in the amount of oxygen dissolved in the bloodstream. This increased flow of oxygen stimulates and restores function to damaged cells and organs including those in the liver and brain. It also significantly enhances the body’s ability to heal.

What happens during a Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy session? You lie, fully clothed in the chamber with an oxygen mask placed over your nose and mouth and the pressure is gradually increased. The speed of pressure increase is carefully monitored and controlled. During your session you can read, listen to music or simply fall asleep. You are monitored throughout the session to ensure you are comfortable.

What is in the Float Tank water? The floating solution is a mix of water and a high ratio of superior, medical grade Epsom salts – magnesium sulphate – which has been proven to help relieve stress and muscle cramps.
-
Will I be floating in someone else's water? This is, understandably, a common question. The answer is no – our bookings are always 90 minutes apart which includes a 1-hour float and 30-minutes for a fully-automated water / solution change. As a double-safety measure we use ultra-violet lighting which destroys any likelihood of lingering bacteria.

I suffer from claustrophobia. Should I worry about having a Float Tank session? The pod is probably larger than you may imagine. At over 8ft long and 5ft wide it’s big enough for you to totally stretch out without feeling restricted in any way. The overhead hydraulic door doesn’t lock and will open with the slightest touch. However, if you prefer, you can choose to leave it open as you’ll be in a private float room where you won’t be disturbed. Most people find when that once they get used to the calm peaceful environment they’re more than happy to close the door, switch off the light and immerse themselves in the full experience. If you’d like to see our pod before booking your float however, just call us and we’d be delighted to show it to you.

How many floats are required to make the Float Tank therapy effective? The key to a really enjoyable float is to completely relax and immerse yourself in the moment. As our brains are bombarded with so much external stimuli every minute of every day, it can sometimes be difficult to switch off straight away. However, floating is a meditative experience and like any other forms of meditation it takes practice. We therefore recommend at least three sessions as the more you do it the more relaxing and therapeutic it becomes.
